2022 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

VOLUNTEER DIRTROAD CLEAN UP - Saturday June, 11th at 9 am Simply walk up and down the any camp road and pick up debris. Bring your own supplies and dispose of at your leisure. This is a great way to get some fresh air, improve our environment, and maybe meet a neighbor. Though the event page says 9 am, you can really do it anytime. Take some pics and post them on our Facebook page.

KID’S FISHING DERBY– SAT JULY 2ND 6:30AM to 11:30AM. This is a catch-and-release fishing derby. Fish should be brought alive to the LaValley Camp dock. (32 Lake Road). See bulletin board for location details.

FLOATIEPALOOZA SUN JULY 3rd - 1PM. Float as a group in the center of the north end of the lake. In case of inclement weather, rain date will be determined.

Monday, July 4th Events

POKER RUN—1 pm to 4 pm Non-Motorized boats only

12 pm to 1 pm – Motorized boats may take those needing assistance to collect their poker hands

Paddle around the pond and look for 5 different buckets on 5 different docks to collect your poker hand. DO NOT open the envelopes until you get to the designated dock (Monahan’s, NE side) where your hand will be verified and recorded. We encourage those that host the poker card docks to show off your festive 4th of July Spirit. Keep an eye out for any fun dock’s along the way. Map will be posted on FB the day before the event.

BOAT PARADE — 7 pm – The boat parade is for motorized boats. Boats and sometimes people are dressed up in 4th of July decorations. The boats with the most spirit get the most cheers from the shore. Be creative!! Boats are to line up at the boat launch at 6:50 pm

FLARE LIGHTING — 9 pm – Place your flares near the waterfront for all to see and enjoy. Wait for the sound of the horn at 9 pm and then light ‘em up in unison. Please be sure to pick up the extinguished and cooled flare remains.

ANNUAL MEETING & BRUNCH – SAT, JULY 16TH. Meeting begins 10 AM. Please arrive a few minutes early and bring your own chair. The meeting takes place at Mitchell camp located at 230 Lake Road. If you have never attended a meeting, we encourage you to come and be an active part of our lake community. Coffee will be provided but please bring a breakfast/brunch dish to share with serving utensils. Four $50 gift cards will be raffled for those in attendance. See annual meeting update on page 3 for more information.

PUMPKINS ON THE POND – SAT, OCT 8TH - You can participate by carving a pumpkin and setting them out roadside with a light for fall residents viewing pleasure. Take a picture of your artwork, because you know it will be dynamite and post it on our Facebook page.
