Calendar of Events

July is peak time at the pond.  Swimming, fishing, boating, campfires, and more!  NPCOA sponsors a number of activities.

ALL ACTIVITIES WILL REMAIN AS SCHEDULED.  WE WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH THE GUIDELINES FOR COVID-19 AND WILL NOTIFY MEMBERS IF CHANGES AND SAFETY MEASURES NEED TO BE IMPLEMENTED.

4TH OF JULY FESTIVITIES

Kid’s Fishing Derby from 6:30 am to 11:30 am. This is a catch-and-release fishing derby. Fish should be brought alive to the Reddy Camp dock. It’s the camp with the lighted palm tree  (190 Boys Camp Road)

Poker Run  MAP WILL BE LOADED ON FACEBOOK PRIOR TO THE RUN. NEW DOCK THIS YEAR TO CHECK YOUR HANDS

1 pm to 4 pm – Non-Motorized boats only.

12 pm to 1 pm – Motorized boats may take those needing assistance to collect their poker hands

Paddle around the pond and look for 5 different buckets on 5 different docks to collect your poker hand. DO NOT open the envelopes until you get to the designated dock (TBD) where your hand will be verified and recorded.  We encourage those that host the poker card docks to show off your festive 4th of July Spirit.

Boat Parade 7 pm – The boat parade is for motorized boats.  We strongly encourage you to dress your boat up in 4th of July décor. The boats with the most elaborate decorations get the most cheers from the shore.  Be creative and add that flare!!   Boats are to line up at the boat launch at 6:55 pm

Flare Lighting 9 pm – Place your flares near the waterfront for all to see and enjoy. Wait for the horn to sound and then light ‘em up.  Please be sure to pick up the extinguished and cooled flare remains.

ANNUAL MEETING  – JULY 18th.  Meeting will begin at 11 am.  This year's meeting will be via Zoom video conferencing.  There will not be a BBQ this year. For those not familiar with Zoom, you can go to their website.  This is FREE software that can be downloaded onto your computer or smart phone.  You can use it over your cellular data OR the internet. https://zoom.us/home?zcid=2478

If you are not able to use this software and would like to come to the meeting I will have limited lawn space for a few.
Steve (treasurer), Crystal (Secretary), Marie (VP) and myself will be presenting via Zoom so you can sit and listen in.  If you do not have service enough for Zoom or are Truly not able to use the feature you may come to the property.  We ask that you have not traveled, are not feeling ill, have not been exposed to the virus and sit 6 ft away from any else that may be here. Please bring your own chair and reply to this email that you will be coming so we can ensure the headcount is minimal.  There will not be a bathroom, BBQ or drinks provided this year as the intent is to do this virtually.   We are asking that every one that is able to use zoom to please do so. The meeting is meant to be brief, concise, and informative.

Part of your dues does pay for the annual BBQ for two so we do apologize for this change.  Next year we plan to do something special to make up for it.

The Zoom meeting is for 40 mins.  This is a feature of Zoom.  Therefore, please get on the meeting and be ready to go by 10:55 and wait.
If there are topics you would like to discuss we ask that you reply to this email so that we may add them to the agenda since we have limited time on the zoom meeting.  You will be called upon if you would like to speak about your topic. There likely will not be time for questions at the end due to the limit of time.
Please submit your topics/questions no later than Sunday, July 12th to nealpondvermont@gmail.com

We understand this is not ideal, please bear with us, we hope to be back to normal next year and look forward to friendly conversations and our usual lake life.

Calendars and apparel will be available for sale and you may come by 32 lake road this day to purchase. email nealpondvermont@gmail.com or the NP Facebook page and Libby/Crystal can meet you outside.
